To expand on the star deduction, other than the sight wrinkling of the material and sometimes too strong feeling adhesive, the amount of pulled sebum that gets brought up doesn't always go into the patch for me. Update: Compared to other larger patches I've tried, these are definitely my favorite and I'll likely order more. The current price is a bit high, but the ability to cut down the patches as needed helps. These are a nice option for patches of acne or for nose coverage. Some brands are a bit feisty, but I had no problem with these. The patch drew some sebum out of my pores and gives the temporary effect of some pore shrinkage.Īdditionally, I appreciate that it's easy to remove the lining of the patches. The patch did leave some wrinkle marks on my nose for a bit, but my EDS skin imprints easily and can be sensitive/react to some adhesive: these don't seem to cause too much of an issue so far. My skin was a little red after removing the I Dew Care patch, but not uncomfortable. Upon removal, it does grip pretty tightly, in between the strength of other hydrocolloid patch brands I've tried and the (residue leaving) adhesion of the pore strips that harden/can damage skin. Understandable for a curved area such as the nose, but this did make me more aware of the patch's presence. The adhesion is better than other brands, sitting pretty well on my nose.Īfter a few hours, however, the areas that weren't super flush to my skin did get more wrinkles/raised slightly. These are nice and clear and not as noticeable at a distance. Nose coverage is tricky due to the curves, and other brands I've tried have a yellow cast and don't stick at the edges, despite attempts to cut slits, etc. These I Dew Care patches are a great size and can be trimmed down to suit various areas of the face. It's hard to stop when you get in that zone, so I've started trying hydrocolloid patches to both limit temptation and help absorb oil. Unfortunately, I also developed a bad habit over the past couple of years: pore/blackhead picking/squeezing. I've always had big ole nose pores and an oily t zone, despite various skincare regimens.
